The Health Department confirmed that 78 more people have died in South Africa due to the coronavirus. These results were recorded in the past 24 hours.
This is the lowest daily death toll in the country in a long time.
Since the pandemic started, 47 899 people have lost their lives in this country, from the 1 491 000 who have tested positive. In just over a day, 1 744 of these infections were picked up.
The country’s recovery rate is now at 93%, with 1 388 000 people having recovered so far.
