Pule was allegedly raped and killed using a grinder, after which she was set alight by Lungile Nxelelwa.
The sentencing took place at the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court. He was sentenced to 2 life imprisonments.
The family and the community are pleased by the sentence. The crime took place in 2019. The suspect was found by the community and then mob justice took place.
The Gauteng Department of Community Safety which is led by the Acting Head of Department, Sipho Thanjekwayo, will continue to offer its support to Pule’s family.
