According to the Department of Water and Sanitation this week, the IVRS went on to record a further increase in its levels as it rose from 78.1% to 82.0%.
The present levels of the system are higher compared to the same week last year when it was around 64.9%.
One of the major dams in the system, the Vaal Dam, recently standing at 79.8%, the dam went up from 75.0% last week. Judged against last year’s levels at the same time when the dam was sitting 57.0%, this week’s levels are higher.
