On Saturday around four o’clock, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene in Vereeniging, to find a light motor vehicle facing up on the side of the road. The body of a woman was found lying next to the car. Medical personnel assessed the woman and found that she had many injuries but she was not showing any positive sign that sinals life. She was declared dead on the scene.

Not long after that, a second collision occurred a few metres away from the initial scene. A light motor vehicle and a bakkie had collided, leaving two men and a child with injuries. The injured were treated and then transported to a nearby hospital. Further investigations were being undertaken by the police.
