A man is in a critical condition after being electrocuted on East Town in Johannesburg. According to City Power a suspected cable thief was critically wounded and taken to hospital after vandalizing a minisubstation.

The ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene on Thursday just after one o’ clock, and found the man lying against a wall. The man was assisted by medical personnel and it was found that he had sustained significant burn wounds, leaving him in a critical state. The man was then treated for his injuries before he was taken to a provincial hospital for further care.
