Emfuleni Local Municipality announced that water supply to Vanderbijlpark and surrounding areas is being restored gradually after the Water Demand Management team completed repairs on a bulk pipeline supplying the reservoirs yesterday.

The municipality stated, “The team has been refilling the reservoirs since late yesterday. Reservoirs are more than 50% full currently, therefore consumers in lower laying areas have obtained water while those in some of the higher laying areas are yet to have water.”

Further on in its statement the municipality continued, “We request that the affected consumers continue using water sparingly to allow for reservoirs to fill up faster.”
