The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) made the customers of Vanderbijlpark, Boipatong, Tshirela, Bonanne, Bophelong, Bophelong Extensions and the surrounding areas aware of water supply interruption on Friday 30 July from 6 o’clock in the evening until tomorrow (Saturday, 31 July) at 6 o’clock in the morning.

ELM stated that the cause of the interruption is the finalization of the repairs of the main water pipeline supplying the Vanderbijlpark reservoirs. In a statement ELM said: “Affected consumers are advised to collect water for basic use during the shutdown. The municipality wishes to apologize for the inconvenience and further encourages residents to use water sparingly at all times.”
