The police in Sebokeng together with the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) were in Boiketlong this past week on a mission to recover the looted goods. They arrived early on Thursday morning to look for the looted items.

This raid comes after the recent looting that took place at Thabong Shopping Centre and parts of Vaal last week. This raid was named ‘Operation Buisa’ which is interpreted ‘Operation Bring Back’ or ‘Show me the receipt.’ Numerous stolen and suspected stolen items have been confiscated. These items were transported with trucks to the Sebokeng Police Station.

The police will be moving to other communities to recover more of the stolen items from the looting.
