Seven suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the local post office in Extension 3 on Tuesday. The incident happened at the time the elderly people were queuing to receive their social grants.

Police Spokesperson, Constable Motsapi confirmed that the well armed suspects entered Jabulani Shopping Centre and went straight to the Post Office. Motsapi mentioned that they first pointed at the employees with guns before they forced their way to the safe that had the money. Motsapi said that three of the suspects broke the window where the cash was kept and placed the cash inside a school bag and then ran off by foot towards Extension 1.

A case of business robbery has been opened and no arrests have yet been made.
