The nation is still shocked by the passing of Johannesburg Mayor, Mr. Makhubo. The 53-year-old Johannesburg Executive Mayor, Geoff Makhubo has died today due to Covid-19 related complications.
He had been hospitalised since last week. He served as the Mayor of Johannesburg from December 2019 until the time of his death. He was a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and the party’s regional chair.
