The Commission decided to reschedule the voter registration weekend from 17-18 July to the weekend of 31 July – 1 August 2021.

This decision was made following a review of the current conditions surrounding the rapid spread of the virus, including the rate of infections and hospitalizations over the past seven days. These factors hamper on the voter registration process.

The two-week postponement will affect certain activities and dates that are associated with the elections including delaying proclamation by four days until 6 August 2021.
