Police are searching for a 53-year-old lady after the discovery of her abandoned car on the N1 on Friday.

Police confirmed that the lady, whose name is Shalila Parsotam from Midrand, was last seen two days earlier and that she had assured the person she spoke to that she was on her way to Cresta in Johannesburg to meet someone.

The police searched for her but unfortunatley could not locate her. However, her family was notified about the discovery of the car. Anyone who might have information about the case is asked to contact the nearest police.
