A man picked up his colleague around half past eight in the morning on Dona Road in Evaton. This was reported by Police Spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela.

“While in the car, the two men were attacked and shot at by unknown suspects. The driver was certified dead at the scene while the other man escaped unharmed.”

Maxambela does not know the motive of the killing but suspects that it is related to the taxi industry as the victims are from a local taxi association.
“We are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation to please call the nearest police or crime stop on 08600 10111,” requested Maxambela to the community.
