The Gift of the Givers was out at the Vaal University of Technology, donating medical kits to its campus clinic. “It is so exciting to receive a medical kit as we have experienced a downfall on our medication. We appreciate what Gift of the Givers has done for us today,” said Sister Maria Phondo, the Head Of Department (H.O.D) for Student Health and Wellness.
This expression was made as the gifts were being donated on the first day of February 2021.
The donation came as a relief to the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) campus clinic as the effect of COVID-19 has taken a hard knock in the department insofar as budget constraints are constrained.
The campus clinic approached the Director of Resource and Mobilisation, Dr. Narissa Ramdhani, to assist with clinical items from needles, medication, necessary, an ambulance and equipment. With the help of Dr. Ramdhani, who has helped establish the relationship with the Gift of the Givers, has brought joy to the hearts of the VUT community.
Gift of the Givers has remained a loyal partner of the University since 2018 when they were approached to assist with VUT’s Food Insecurity Project. The Office of Dr. Ramdhani approached many funders, and found the offerings from the Gift of the Givers to be the most generous.
