Police Spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele confirmed that the police have launched an inquest into many shooting incidents after a man allegedly went on a shooting spree before taking his own life on Tuesday night.
According to ER24 18-year old Nathan Hebler was killed and two others left injured Tuesday evening following a shooting incident on Frikke Meyer in Vanderbijlpark.
The medical personnel treated the patients, giving them advanced life support, after which the men were transported to nearby hospitals for further care. Unfortunately the 18-year-old man succumbed to his injuries later in hospital.
A fourth victim, a car guard who was on his way home is said to have sustained a fatal gun wound to his head after the man in the BMWX5 shot him on the head. Eyewitnesses who were on the scene say the man drove off after shooting the man.
Makhubele confirmed that a second man, had also died in hospital on Wednesday.
