At least 680 more people have died from COVID-19 in South Africa, bringing the national death toll to 41,797.
The health department has confirmed that 6,041 new cases have been recorded, bringing the total confirmed COVID-19 cases now to over 1.4 million.
KZN has the highest number of active cases with more than 46,000. The second highest number of cases is in the Western Cape with over 22,000.
