Police in Kliprivier in connection with the Community Policing Forum (CPF) have alerted motorists driving on the R59 and Kliprivier Drive to be cautious when driving on those roads.
Police spokesperson sergeant Tintswalo Ndhambi said, “There have been some reports of vehicles stopping people. Do not stop for any unmarked vehicle with blue lights trying to pull you over.” Ndhambi stated that the suspects hijack victims while wearing uniform and drop them off at remote and random places.
“Should you feel that something is wrong or that you are being followed, continue diving slowly to your nearest police station or to a busy area where it will be safer to stop,” said Ndhambi
Motorists are advised to be vigilant when travelling on these roads. Motorists are urged to call the police, the CPF or local security companies should they feel unsafe or sense danger.
