The health Department confirmed that three hundred (300) more people have died from COVID-19 in South Africa. This has now taken the death toll to 40,874.
The number of confirmed cases is up by eight thousand one hundred and forty-seven (8147), taking the total number of infections to over 1.4 million. The country has recorded more than 1.2 million recoveries at a recovery rate of close to 87 percent. To date, almost 8 million tests have been conducted.
