South Africa now has a new daily covid-19 record with 21 832 new cases. This record marks the first time since the country went above the 20 000 mark for the new infections in per day.

These new cases have taken the total number of infections to 1 149, 591, while the death toll is standing at 31 368.
Let us please continue to play our part in fighting this virus by regularly washing our hands with water and soap or a sanitizer that contains 70 percent of alcohol.

Let us always wear our masks and maintain a social distance of 1.5 metres. Together we can beat this virus if we actively play our part.
